The Big Redhead Ed Schultz is now on WSVG three hours every weekday starting at 1p. Ed is a large part of Freedom of Speech Radio on WSVG, broadcasting viewpoints from a variety of political perspectives. Ed’s unique perspective is now sandwiched around Dennis Miller 10a-1p and Herman Cain 4-7p on 790 AM and right here at using the “Listen Live” link. Bauserman, Central Defense Step Up

Central footballThe Central Falcons advance in the high school football playoffs, beating the Poquoson Bull Islanders 22-14 in Woodstock Saturday. Central advances to the third round for the second year in a row, earning their second straight 10-win season in the process.

Turnovers made a big difference in the game, with Central forcing two interceptions and two fumble recoveries. On offense, Daniel Molina ran for 114 yards and Hayden Bauserman threw for 169 yards.

Shenandoah Ford Player of the Game is Justin Bauserman, with 6 receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown rushing, with eight tackles and an interception on defense.

Bauserman Leads Central in HS Playoffs

Hayden Bauserman threw five touchdowns Saturday to lead the Central Falcons past the Thomas Jefferson Vikings, 39-16 in Woodstock. Bauserman found Tommy Caison twice in the first quarter for touchdowns as the Falcons took an early lead and never looked back. Justin Bauserman caught two TD passes and led Central in receiving with 131 yards.

Congratulations to Shenandoah Ford Player of the Game Hayden Bauserman, who was 14-23 passing for 351 yards and 5 TDs.

Daniel Molina ran for 4 touchdowns to lead Central past Strasburg 35-21 in the High School Football Game of the Week on WSVG. Hayden Bauserman added a touchdown pass in the Falcons’ winning effort. Strasburg’s Ryan Smoot scored two touchdowns on 115 yards receiving for the Rams.

Shenandoah Ford Players of the Game: Central’s Daniel Molina with 173 rushing and 4 TDs and Strasburg’s Ryan Smoot 115 receiving and 2 TDs on offense, with 10 tackles and a sack defensively.

Campbell Leads Luray Past Stonewall

In our High School Football Game of the Week, Luray downed Stonewall Jackson 31-8 in Quicksburg. Tyler Campbell led the Bulldogs running for 137 yards, scoring 3 touchdowns, with 2 interceptions on defense. Daniel Buhl led the Generals in the losing effort with 99 yards rushing and a TD.

Both players share Shenandoah Ford Player of the Game Honors.

The Bulldogs now own a 5-4 record. They play next hosting Riverheads for a non-league contest on November 8. The Gladiators enter the contest at 8-1.

With the loss, Stonewall moves to 0-9 on the season. The Generals travel to take on the Page County Panthers in a 2A Conference 35 outing on November 8.
